Welcome to The Law Student’s Docket! I’m your host Bek and I am so excited to be chatting to you. Today is a trailer episode to introduce you to the Docket and what there is to expect each Wednesday. 

The Law Student’s Docket is dedicated to talking about the stages of obtaining a law degree. You might be in your final year of high school and thinking about enrolling into law. This podcast will cover things like: How do I actually become a lawyer? What should I expect in my first year of uni? What’s the difference between high school and university? 

Or you might be enrolled into university and struggling with the whole work/life balance thing. So lets talk about these challenges and discuss things such as burnout, procrastination, and knowing when to take a step back. 

Or perhaps you’re a few years into your degree and you really want a job in the legal profession, perhaps as a paralegal, but it seems that every job listing you look at they want prior experience which you don’t have. How are you meant to get your foot in the door? So I have created a series within the podcast called ‘No Experience Necessary’ where I’ll be talking about ways to emphasise your transferable skills, networking, how to a write a cover letter, and preparing for your interview.
